Reader Comments for Nova York, A Rising Hope, Christian Fiction

It came to mind that some of you may enjoy seeing a few of the comments made by readers of A Rising Hope.  The reactions of other people may encourage you to either agree or disagree with their findings.

Below are listed a few of the comments found while doing a search:
I met Nova through my wife who is her coworker. My wife would come home telling me about her new coworker and what an inspiration she found her to be. She would relate stories to me about the challenges Nova had faced in her life and what an amazing attitude she had. I met her and was struck by her sense of humor. She has a unique way of looking at everyday things in life and finding the fun in them. She’s written a very touching story of someone who has faced many challenges and keeps a very positive outlook."

“Nova York has become a true inspiration. She has succeeded against many odds both personally and professionally to become who she is today. She relies on her faith which shines through her daily."

A Rising Hope leaves your heart smiling.”
What a graphic, true to life story. I felt the author’s emotions and pain. Couldn’t
put the book down."
"Nice post. Its realy nice. Many info help me".

From the author as she responded to some of the comments:  "Thanks for the comment. As a Mississippi author, I have very large shoes to fill. A Rising Hope was extremely important and personal to me: therefore, it is great to hear from someone who liked it and maybe benefited in someway from it."

"When I read this Novel I was taken into the world of the main character, Sara Whitehead. I felt the struggles and found myself urging her on to find solutions that would help her get to the next step in her journey. So many turns of events that were unpredictable, I was encouraged by the determination of such a young teen/adult by the way she refused to let circumstances of life direct her path. I couldn’t put it down. This is a great read!!"

"You’ve done a great job. Am looking forward the the next, and the next. Have you considered a Saga going through Sara’s life and into the future generations? Just a thought"
.
What a graphic, true to life story. I felt the author’s emotions and pain. Couldn’t
put the book down."

In a recent discussion with Nova, I saw that there were tears in her eyes as she expressed her gratitude for the comments and for the people who had made them.  As a full-time employee, she realizes just how much effort and time it takes to make statements such as these.

The amount of encouragement received by Nova through comments such as these is difficult to measure.  To say that they are 'meaningful' seems like the utmost in understatement.

A Personal Life?

Yes, even an author with a full time public job and an active family still manages to steal some time once in a while for something very personal and, therefore, most meaningful.

Our author of note, Nova York, demonstrated another talent this week which some of us knew little or nothing about.  She put together a wedding and the following reception.

If you've ever been involved with the planning of events like these, you know that it takes every skill known to mankind to pull it off.  You plan, you budget, you design, you instruct, you evaluate, and the list goes on.  This was a most meaningful wedding in that her youngest son had chosen his life's partner.  The celebration for this decision was something to be remembered and cherished for all time.

As the last guests left the reception, Nova was congratulated on how well everything had flowed.  The church and reception had appeared in elegant beauty.  The simplicity of it all was wonderful.
When asked if she would consider being an event planner for other occassions, her immediate response was "NO".  She said that one of these was enough for a lifetime.

There's something similar to shock that sets in when all is said and done ... when the event has taken place and the clean up is completed ...during which one sits and wonders about filling the time now with a different activity.  Nova has no problem in selecting the actiity that will fill her time for the next while.  it will be the writing of her next book.  With the characters already name with their personalities already developed and with the story line taking definite shape, there remains the task of finding just the right words with which to put it all together.

As she turns her attention to that undertaking, those of us who support her ambition, wish her well and offer assistance at whatever level it may be needed.  "You Go Girl!"

A Rising Hope is a Fictional Christian Book by Nova York

During the last few weeks, emphasis has been placed on Nova York and on her latest accomplishment, A Rising Hope.  That's as it should be.  But, that's not all that it should be.

Nova, herself, and her writing reflects deeper meanings and reasons for existing. The simple celebrity that goes to anyone who manages to impress the public with an achievement is always targeted but Nova wishes the readers to understand the supporting elements to this completed work, most of which has been spiritual in nature.

The character, Sara Whitehead, had every reason to be successful in her lifestyle choices, but she wasn't.  There's always the question "why?" whenever a failure results from something that should have been successful.

None of us in Scribbled Adventures try to impress the world with our religious beliefs.  We don't think we have to.  Action speaks much louder than words so that no verbal statement or explanations are necessary concerning a belief  system.

There was a reason for putting A Rising Hope in the category  Christian Fiction..  As the reader
goes through the story, even though fictional, they see evidence of the authors dedicated spiritual belief that human effort, in itself, is never going to be enough to create a successful and happy lifestyle.

We, the readers, take our own spiritual journey along with Sara as she discovers through trial and error what it means and what it takes to be successful.

Best Seller List Realized For Mississippi's Newest Author, | Nova York |, For Her Work, | A Rising Hope |

Hopefully, enough information was included in this press release to introduce a reader
to the persona of | Nova York |.  Her work is important and we do want readers to
become acquainted with it. At the same time, this particular  book, |  A Rising Hope |, is
only the first of many to come.  Because of that, we felt it important to have readers
get to know Nova herself.

The following is the press release that was published on October 4, 2011:

Jackson, MS (1888PressRelease) October 04, 2011 - Nova York, a registered nurse
and full time employee of Southwest Mississippi Planning and Developing District
recently released her first novel titled, A Rising Hope. She, as well as those who
supported her effort, are happy to see this book gaining in popularity with readers
around the world.

As a graduate from the University of Mississippi, Ms York has used her experience
as a Registered Nurse to manage a helping program for the sick and disabled that's
sponsored by her organization. In addition to full time employment, she has an active
family which includes her husband and two adult sons, one of which has cerebral palsy
while the other is a newly wed. Work on her next novel has begun with no deadline for
completion

Being chosen for the Editor's Choice Award for her work with A Rising Hope has
given Nova encouragement to continue with her writing. She believes that the next
book will be much easier to develop based on the knowledge she's gained while putting
together the first one.

The writing of A Rising Hope took place over a six year period during which time Nova
became more educated than she wished to be about the business of writing. Formatting,
editing, layout, graphics, publishers, etc., were almost enough to relieve her of the ambition
to tell this most meaningful story.

In the fictional Christian Book, A Rising Hope, the main character, Sara Whitehead, is a
smart, ambitious teen who is in a hurry to get on with her definition of the perfect life. Her
immaturity allows choices that lead to actions which result in anything except the successful
fulfillment of her dreams.

Nova has not danced around the cold hard facts of life in this compelling Christian Book.
Sara's life, as depicted in A Rising Hope, may give the reader insights not experienced before.

At this time, Barnes and Nobles, Amazon and IUniverse are the main outlets for the book. Other
outlets will be listed soon.

Interviews with local newspapers are scheduled and Book-signing appointments are being
confirmed. Speaking engagements with local church and civic groups are also being arranged.
Those interested in contacting Nova concerning her work as an author may do so through
email at nova.york. yahoo.com

Fictional | Christian Book |, | A Rising Hope| , by | Nova York |

The main character in A Rising Hope, Sara, is not a bad person.  She is not a rebellious teen.  She is smart.  She is ambitious.  She wants exactly what all the rest of us want...a home of her own, a family, an education, and enough money to support it all.

Her basic problem is that she's impatient with a belief that she can 'make' all these things happen simply by determined work with refusal to give up.  Isn't this the message we so often give to our children? ... You can be and do all things if you work hard enough and just don't give up.

A Rising Hope shows us, through Sara's experiences, why that theory is faulty and what it takes to actually have the fulfilling life we all desire.

This book is simply written and goes straight to the heart.  The reader becomes emotionally involved with Sara.  The reader can be upset with her, sorry for her, afraid for her and excited for her, but always there's the unending hope that she will find her way.

A Rising Hope is an easy to read compelling novel with a meaningful message.

| A Rising Hope |

Our | Nova York | and her work, | A Rising Hope |, are
beginning to show up on Google in strategic places.
It makes me smile.

She worked hard and long in the writing of this
her fictional |Christian Book |.. She became
'educated' in a whole new way while working
with critics, editors, publishers. She thinks
that the next effort will not be quite so hard.

Of course, she has a whole cheer-leading squad
behind her in the way of family, friends, co-workers
and clients. Our ScribbledAdventures.com will be
highlighting her work as well as that of the other
members of that group. It may well be that the
advice that each of us throws at her may be the
hardest thing to deal with as we all want so much
for her and, of course, we each think we 'know' what
she needs to do.

| Scribbled Adventures |

The latest release is the first effort at a full-sized novel by | Nova York |. This fictional | Christian Book |,  | A Rising Hope |, brings the reader face to face with real life situations handled as best she could by a young girl with more ambition than ability.  This book was 6 years in the making and has been responsible for more education than any of us wished for in the beginning of the project

.We smile at the title, | A Rising Hope |, because our own hope kept rising that our livese would settle down when the book was completed ... but no.  Apparently,  there's a couple of other novels in Nova's head that are insisting upon being written.
